    part 1 : My experience

I spent 12 hours in total with animals of the world at the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. These are my fun stories. Most of it are in video so those interested, we can gather to watch it ok?

Saturday : Met Madeleine at around 5.15pm and Janice at 5.30pm at AMK Hub. Madz and I have taken dinner and Janice bought her's at MOS Burger. Then we took Service 138 straight to the entrance of the Night Safari.

After we bought tickets, we thought we could catch the 7.30pm. So we started queuing as we were told to enter 1/2 an hour before the show. After some squeezing and pushing, we got some seats, but sadly the show was cancel becoz of the rain. So every tour group rushed for the tram ride, hoping to keep their customers dry and active.

So what did we do? We took the trails. A whole 1++ hours plus of free roaming through the jungle, literately. At this point, dun talk about photos or videos. I couldn't see my own hands...

After roaming, we took the tram ride at 9.30 and lasted for 1/2 hour. Really cool man!! Close encounter with animals, I got to see lion roar, my fav animal "Chawang" the elephant, tigers, wolves, many many more.

So whats last on our list? Animals of the Night show!! I wish can show u all but sorry... Video video video...

Sunday : We met in the morning to go to the Singapore Zoo that morning. Well there wasn't much photos until the second half of the trip. First half on video.

We decided on Trails first, shows later. You'll never believe it man. 11am to 2pm, we only covered half of the zoo.

B4 roaming the other half, we watched the Asian Elephants at Work and Play show. Then we walked on. Well a lot of the places around are still under construction. Janice was a lil disapointed becoz there wasn't much of the Children's Play World now. Kinda empty now. But she was cheered up when she took photo with the Orang Utan. After nearly 6+ hours of walking around, we landed in the gift shop. The day ended

Overall i believe it was a learning experience for me and the gals. Janice learnt a whole lot from the animals, Madeleine got to excerise through walking and scaring herself in the night, and for me, its a renewal of the question,"Why do i love this world so much?"

part 2 : for the visitors

"The one species that can save all species..." - Animal Planet

More like "The one species that can save all species, but destroying instead..."

Why do i say this? Becoz visitors do not abide to the rules of the Zoo and the Night Safari.

Through the walk on both places I told off almost 5 to 6 visitors for stupid things which are reminded like 10,000 times. Like the following:

    Feeding the animals
This is not allowed as ALL animals are monitored closely on what they ate and how much of it. Any more or less would cause overweight or health issues.

    Tapping/ Knocking glass panels
Animals get shock from this and this may weaken their hearts and cause health problems

Flash and lights at the Night Safari
Animals are sensitive to sudden lights and the same thing above may happen. This is quite serious.

    So what should visitors do?

    Have patience
Animals are very alert to their surroundings. Keeping quiet and have slow movements MAY lower their sense of danger and may appear more often to visitors.

    Keep watch of your children
They may love the animals, but they are unaware of what are the do's and don'ts. I believe that even if they followed the guidelines, they'll still have fun.

Thats all from me... Hope to go on more outing...
